What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure in which pigment is tattooed into the outermost layers of skin. NOVA DERM INSTITUTE utilizes specialized procedures and anesthetic options to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
Similar to body tattoos, permanent makeup lasts for years but fades over time. This is due to sunlight exposure, washing your skin, and normal exfoliation of the skin over time. You may need reapplication to maintain or update the style of your permanent makeup.
Who can benefit from permanent makeup services?
If you have a busy lifestyle and little time to apply makeup, permanent makeup can create a shortcut in your routine.
Permanent makeup is also great for active lifestyles, especially if you sweat a lot when exercising and want to avoid your makeup melting off during workouts or the need to reapply constantly.
If you have difficulty applying makeup due to limited mobility, poor eyesight, arthritis, permanent makeup can help you look and feel your best. Permanent makeup is safe for all ages and skin types and is tailored to improve the look and intensity you want.
Where can it be applied?
How is permanent makeup applied?
Your first visit lasts anywhere from one to two hours and includes your consultation, drawing, and the actual process. Once you have finalized the style you want, we treat the area using special equipment and instruments.
Your makeup will look darker at first but will fade over the next few days to your desired intensity. We follow up with you a month later to make sure you’re happy and the pigment is the correct color.
Permanent makeup can save you time and hassle while giving you a look you love. Call NOVA DERM INSTITUTE or schedule a consultation online if you have any questions.
