Ombre Eyebrows
What are Ombré Eyebrows?
Ombré Eyebrows is an eyebrow enhancing technique that uses Ombré shading, a semi-permanent method that uses a small machine to place extremely thin dots of pigment into the skin, creating a soft-shaded powdered brow look. The Ombré Eyebrow technique is the latest and effective technique for eyebrow reconstruction.
How does it work?
It is performed by using a specialized machine to infuse the pigment under the eyebrow skin area without cutting open the skin. It looks as if you have powdered makeup on your brow area. At NOVA DERM INSTITUTE we use the safest pigments carefully selected to infuse in the skin. Our pigments don’t turn green or red after a few months post procedure. You can still get MRI and other medical procedures required for your health and well-being safely, because of the low metal content in our pigments.
FAQs
What to Expect During Your Treatment
At the consultation, the shape and color of pigment is carefully selected to match the individual. Next step is to apply numbing cream. This helps give you the most comfort during your treatment. We always ask the individual to show us a picture of what shape they are looking for, and based on our experience and their face shape, choose the best possible eyebrow look for our valued clients.
What to Expect After Your Treatment
Brows might look very dark, sharp, and overdrawn. The eyebrows area might feel tender and slightly swollen. If this happens apply some Aquaphor ointment to soothe the area. The permanent makeup has been applied to compensate for fading, if they look much darker than you normally wear your brows, stay calm, the color will fade over the next week.
How Many Treatments Will you Need
You will need two treatments four weeks apart to see the best results.
What Are The Benefits to Eyebrow Tattooing
The result is very natural looking, it doesn’t scar the skin and is considered to be a safer method of eyebrow permanent makeup compared to microblading techniques.
Does it Hurt
Here at NOVA DERM INSTITUTE we apply a numbing cream for 15 to 20 minutes to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. You may feel slight discomfort or some level of scratchy feeling during the treatment. Almost everyone finds the discomfort manageable.
What Are The Side Effects
Almost everyone experiences a slight swelling, redness around the eyebrows and a tight feeling of the skin right after the treatment. This will disappear within 24 to 48 hours. The full healing process takes on average between 5 to 10 days. But the true color of the pigment is only visible after one full month.

Avoid tanning one week prior to your appointment. Stop Retin-A and any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products near brows two weeks before and after appointment.
